Black-faced Spoonbill

The black-faced spoonbill is an eastern Asian wading bird with a dorsoventrally flattened, spatula-shaped bill. It feeds by touch, wading through shallow water while sweeping the bill from side to side to detect prey. Among the six spoonbill species, its known geographical distribution is the most restricted.
