The king quail is also known as the Asian blue quail, blue-breasted quail and Chinese painted quail. It is described as the smallest and lightest galliform. Its calls include a piping ti-yu or ti-ti-yu whistle, along with sharp cheeps or a repeated tir-tir-tir sound when flushed. (Wikipedia, general species account)
