The brown accentor is an accentor of shrubby vegetation that breeds between 3,300 and 5,100 m and prefers drier habitats than other accentors. It is found across Central Asia, Mongolia and the Himalayas, including China. It has a white supercilium that is broader behind the eye, a blackish-brown mask and ear-coverts, and a yellowish breast and belly. (Wikipedia, general species account)
Birds are mostly monogamous, though polyandry has been recorded, and they are territorial in the breeding season, which begins in late May. Females lay clutches of three to four eggs from late June to late July and incubate for 12–14 days, and both sexes then feed the nestlings for 13–15 days, females doing most of the feeding.
