Bufo andrewsi
Range
Yunnan and Sichuan, China
Andrews' toad (Bufo andrewsi) was described by Schmidt in 1925 in American Museum Novitates from a male collected by R. C. Andrews and Edmund Heller on 4 October 1916 at Likiang (Lijiang), Yunnan, at about 8,500 feet (2,600 m). It was brought back from synonymy with the common toad in 1984, and later specimen records from Yunnan have sometimes used the older name Bufo gargarizans for andrewsi material. A form described from near Baoxing in Sichuan, Bufo bufo wrighti, was later made a synonym of it. (open-access original descriptions, Wikipedia and web summaries)
