The Chinese blackbird is a large thrush formerly treated as part of the common blackbird. It breeds throughout much of southern, central and eastern China. Some individuals migrate seasonally to Hong Kong and farther south into Laos and Vietnam. Adult males are sooty black, while females are browner overall and paler on the underparts. The opened source recognizes Turdus mandarinus as a distinct species rather than a subspecies of Turdus merula. (Wikipedia, general species account)
