Chinese Crested Tern

The Chinese crested tern is a medium-large tern measuring 38–43cm. Breeding birds have a black crown, pale silvery-grey back and wings, and a white tail. Its yellow bill has a black tip and is comparatively stout, helping distinguish it from the otherwise similar Sandwich tern and related crested terns. (Wikipedia, general species account)
