The Chinese flying frog is a large rhacophorid tree frog reaching approximately 10cm in length. Adhesive toe disks help it grip branches, while extensive webbing between the toes spreads during a leap and enables gliding between branches or trees. The frog can reposition its feet while airborne to steer. Other names recorded for it include Chinese gliding frog, Blanford's whipping frog and Denny's whipping frog.
