Chinese Short-tailed Shrew

The Chinese short-tailed shrew, also called the Indochinese short-tailed shrew, is a semifossorial red-toothed shrew with a stout body and a short, slender tail, found in China and Vietnam. It was originally classified in Blarinella, but cytochrome b analysis suggests it belongs in a new genus, Parablarinella, alongside one other species (Wikipedia, general species account).
