The Dabie Mountains shrew mole is a small mammal in the mole family that is endemic to Anhui Province in China, where it is known only from the Dabie Mountains. Phylogenetic evidence supports it as a sister species to a clade containing the gracile shrew mole, the black-backed shrew mole and several undescribed species, having diverged from the rest of its genus in the early Pleistocene (Wikipedia, general species account).
