Emberiza siemsseni

The slaty bunting (Emberiza siemsseni) is a bunting endemic to China, in subtropical or tropical moist shrubland. An adult measures 13 cm and weighs 20 g, with distinctive plumage and unusual tail feathers that are broad toward the tip, and a comparatively small, neat bill. It eats seeds, insects and other small invertebrates. The population is not globally threatened, but migration and the clearing of vegetation for agriculture are threats in China.
