The Hong Kong whipping frog, or spot-legged tree frog, is a shrub frog (Rhacophoridae). In its native range it is also called the 'brown tree frog'. It was previously thought to be distributed above the Red River of Vietnam and in north-east India, while its relative the common tree frog was thought to occur south of the Red River and in western Yunnan (Wikipedia, general species account).
