Inquisitive Shrew Mole

The inquisitive shrew mole is known only from Yunnan province in China, although its range is thought to extend over the border into Myanmar. A 2018 phylogenetic study found it to be the sister lineage to all other species in its genus, having diverged from the rest during the late Miocene (Wikipedia, general species account).
