Kaulback's Lance-headed Pit Viper is an elongate viper with a large, long head and narrow snout. The species is egg-laying and at least partly arboreal. Confirmed distribution includes northern Myanmar, northeastern India and Bhutan. Reports from Yunnan have been published, but a current database describes the Chinese records as questionable. Its inclusion in the China list should therefore remain provisional unless supported by verified specimens or a newer range assessment. (The Reptile Database)
