Kuhl's creek frog, or large-headed frog, is a frog in the family Dicroglossidae. It was once believed to have a broad distribution in north-east India (Assam) and South-east Asia, but a 2010 phylogenetic analysis showed there are at least 16 morphologically similar species within it (Wikipedia, general species account). The source used here does not describe its status in China.
