Phylloscopus magnirostris
Habitat
Dense vegetation
It is a somewhat large leaf warbler with a single wing bar, a prominent yellowish-white eyebrow, a broad dark eye stripe, a large darkish upper mandible and a dark crown with greyish ear coverts. It can be confused with the Arctic warbler (Wikipedia, general species account).
It is found in dense vegetation and sometimes urban areas, and is more often heard than seen. Its distinctive call is a two-note dir-tee with the second note much higher, given often and at regular intervals.
