Leschenault's rousette is a medium-sized fruit bat with a dog-like muzzle, large eyes and brown fur. It ranges across South and Southeast Asia and reaches southern China. Colonies roost in caves, tunnels and buildings. Fruit, nectar and pollen are found using sight and smell, while tongue-click echolocation helps the bats orient inside dark roosts.
