The long-tailed grass lizard, also called the Asian grass lizard (Takydromus sexlineatus), is an arboreal, diurnal lizard found throughout Southeast Asia, including India, China, Thailand and Indonesia. The tail is usually over three times the snout-vent length, which averages about 12 cm. (The Reptile Database; Wikipedia, general species account)
It emerges in the early morning to bask and feeds on small insects such as flies. Males are told by pre-anal pores, some individuals have small circular spots on the sides, and like many lizards it can drop its tail and regrow it. (Wikipedia, general species account)
