Naumann's thrush breeds eastward from central Siberia to north Manchuria, Amurland and Sakhalin, and winters from South Asia to south-east Asia, principally in China, Korea and neighbouring countries. It is closely related to the more northerly breeding dusky thrush, and the two have often been treated as one species. (Wikipedia, general species account)

It is omnivorous, eating a wide range of insects, especially mosquitoes, earthworms and berries. It has a pale brown back and head with reddish face, breast, flank spots and rump and a white belly and undertail, where the dusky thrush is darker with black spots. It nests in trees, laying 3–5 eggs, is strongly migratory, and winters in small flocks. (Wikipedia, general species account)
