Oriental Magpie-Robin

The Oriental magpie-robin is a small Old World flycatcher found across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. Adult males are boldly patterned in black and white and carry their long tail upright while foraging on the ground or perching in exposed positions. The species inhabits both forest and human-modified landscapes and is familiar in urban gardens, towns and villages. Its conspicuous stance and rich song often make it easier to notice than many other forest flycatchers. (Wikipedia, general species account)
