Streptopelia orientalis
Range
Central Asia eastward across Asia to Japan
The Oriental turtle dove, also called the rufous turtle dove, has a broad native distribution extending from Central Asia eastward across the continent to Japan. At least six named subspecies reflect geographical variation in plumage. Populations breeding at higher latitudes generally migrate south for winter, whereas birds living closer to the tropics are largely sedentary. (Wikipedia, general species account)
