Microhyla ornata
Habitat
Grass and leaf litter; semi-buried on the forest floor

Males about 24mm, females about 28mm snout-vent
The ornate narrow-mouthed frog is a small microhylid with a small head, no teeth, no discernible eardrum and an arrow-shaped mark on the back, generally yellowish with dark brown patches. Males are about 24 mm from snout to vent and females about 28 mm.
It lives semi-buried in leaf litter and grass, is mainly nocturnal but also active by day in the rainy season, and breeds in ponds and temporary rain pools. In some habitats it shelters in elephant dung.
