The Xinjiang ground jay is a beige corvid with a black cap and wings patterned partly in black and white. Its sharp bill curves downward, while a black moustache-like marking sweeps upward from beneath the bill toward the cap; the eyes are deep brown. The species is related to the Iranian and Mongolian ground jays. Its documented food consists mainly of insects, including true bugs. (Wikipedia, general species account)
