The Russian myotis is a small brown bat distributed across northern and eastern Asia. It was formerly confused with the morphologically similar daubentonii complex, making older records difficult to interpret. The species roosts in caves, buildings and tree cavities and hunts flying insects around forest and wetlands, often passing low over water. (Wikipedia, general species account)
