The Sikkim mountain vole is a compact, short-tailed vole of the eastern Himalayas and adjoining southwestern China. It has dense brownish fur, small rounded ears and the blunt muzzle typical of mountain voles. Available species accounts associate it with alpine meadow and high mountain grassland, but provide little dependable species-specific information about its diet, measurements, reproduction or social behaviour.
