The silver-breasted broadbill is a broadbill found in parts of South-east Asia, with seven currently recognised subspecies. The breast and belly are white, and young birds resemble adults but with shorter wings and tails and slightly darker plumage. It occurs between 800 and 2,000m in Sumatra but at 300–700m in China (Wikipedia, general species account).
It eats invertebrates, primarily insects such as grasshoppers, mantises, caterpillars and larvae, as well as small land snails. The grey-lored broadbill was previously treated as a subspecies (Wikipedia, general species account).
