The Snow Mountain shrew mole is a talpid recorded from Yunnan, China, with a possible occurrence in Myanmar. Its name refers to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the type locality; the only other confirmed specimen mentioned in the account came from Cang Mountain. Once synonymized with the gracile shrew mole, it was supported as a distinct species by a 2018 phylogenetic study. (Wikipedia, general species account)
