Sooty-Headed Bulbul

The sooty-headed bulbul is a medium-sized songbird 18–21cm long with a short crest, found in south-eastern Asia. It can be distinguished from the similar red-vented bulbul by its tan front, less scaly body pattern and other features. Its call is a series of whistled notes similar in tone to the red-whiskered bulbul's but delivered in a more hurried manner (Wikipedia, general species account).
