Przevalski's finch, also called Przewalski's pinktail (Urocynchramus pylzowi), is an unusual passerine endemic to the mountains of central-west China. It is named after Mikhail Pyltsov, the Russian explorer who accompanied Nikolai Przhevalsky on the expedition in which specimens were collected. Its relationships were unclear for a long time, and in 2000 it was proposed that it should be regarded as neither a finch nor a bunting but as the only member of its own family, Urocynchramidae.
